Our Story Begins with Mella
Mary Louise (Mella) Udall Palmer used the power of music to lift and inspire. Her life was filled with service to others, and often that service was centered in music, whether at the organ, piano, or in a choral group. With grace she endured a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
But the memory of her life and character live on through this company.
At Mella Music Therapy, we focus on using Neurologic Music Therapy® techniques to provide a supportive and welcoming experience in which individuals can find their voice and learn to thrive.
Whether you are finding music therapy for yourself, or for a loved one struggling with brain functioning, together we can work to improve speech, focus, socialization and so much more.

In her free time, Liz plays keyboards and bass guitar, and enjoys performing classic rock, yacht rock, and punk. She loves music, she’s very interested in music therapy, and is very eager to assist our clients and their loved ones in any way possible.

Carly Farabee – Music Therapy Intern
Carly was born and raised in Arizona, where she also studied Music Therapy at Arizona State University. There, she was able to work with local clinics including the Arizona State Hospital Forensics Unit, Child Crisis Center and Higher Octave Healing. She was fortunate to start piano lessons at a young age and has since developed a love for playing the ukulele, violin, guitar and singing. She is excited about the opportunity to work as an intern with Mella Music Therapy. She loves going on adventures, hanging out with her family and fiancé, and playing with her fur baby, Peaches.
